It’s very difficult to answer some critical questions, that too for kids’ questions. Sometimes, I try too much to give better answer, so that he will not ask next question. Sometimes, I lost my temper and I scold him.
We were on the way to Central Railway station to catch up the train to Coimbatore with lots of luggage. I was holding Sarvesh in one hand and other hand I hold my bag. It was very rush at the time of Christmas Eve. Sarvesh asked me what place is this, I told him this is Railway station, here where the train stops. Suddenly he asked me if train stops, it should be Train station, then why you are saying railway station. What I will tell him, I started crying and said “enna mudilada”. Then we have reached the platform 9 after answering so many questions, some guy accidently hit me with his bag and he asked me sorry, Sarvesh asked me “Who is that Uncle? Do u know him? Whether he is also going to Coimbatore to see his thatha and patti?”
Near my house, some people have started cutting down the branches of the trees for some reason, I took Sarvesh for a morning walk, he asked me why they have cut down the trees, I said may be it reach some height, so they have cut down the trees. He asked “Where will crows sits and build their homes”. I was so shocked and I don’t know what to answer, for time being I said we will build house for crows in our home. Then he told me, “Mummy, take the sticks, then only we can build house for crows”. Its very difficult to answer his questions.
One fine Sunday, I was cooking, he took capsicum and asked me what is this, I thought he won’t understand if I say it’s Capsicum, so I told him, this is chilly. He started laughing and told his daddy that mummy doesn’t know anything, this is not chilly and this is capsicum. He confirmed that I don’t know the difference between Chilly and capsicum.
Sarvesh has lot of memory power, my husband thought him to play online word games and brick games from some website. Yesterday, Sarvesh asked me to launch the games2girls site, and he told that he will select the games whatever he wants. I don’t know the website address and I typed www. gamestogirls, suddenly he stopped me, this is not correct, type games and number 2 and then type girls, really I don’t know what to say, he is such a genius fellow. He spend almost 3-4 hrs per day playing in laptop and then with IPOD, that too only word games and coloring games.
Sometimes I reach home very late, by 11.30 pm, if I have some deliverables or someone is on leave, Sarvesh asked me so many question, where did u go, why you are coming late, did u have food, etc etc at that time, i feel like my parents are staying with me.
Today kids are so genius, not only Sarvesh, even my friends’ kids are so brilliant and playing and learning in laptops (though they are under 3 yrs). And they know how to make them engaged with the latest technologies.
